I have a 3 year old eek!

Can't believe Ollie is now three.

He had an awful week of sickness and diarrhoea but thankfully he was okay by 16th, his birthday.
We had a family party and a day trip planned originally but had to cancel it all and just had a simple day out to the park, lunch out and a treat of ice cream.
He seemed to enjoy his day especially as he got a Spider-Man scooter which he loves. The day followed with more treats with family spoiling him with more presents.

The changing faces of Ollie.

Since he has turned three though he has become extremely bossy wanting people to do everything for him and he is constantly saying no and refusing to do anything I say. So its out with the terrible twos and in with the troublesome threes.

Birthday No.33

Where do the years go I'm now 33 eek!
I got some lovely Marc Jacob perfume Dots from the hubby and Cath Kidston Dotty shoes that I have been lusting after.

For a birthday treat we spent the day at Stratford Upon Avon as one of my favourite places is the Butterfly Farm.

After we indulged in a dominos pizza and  my fab cake of four little pigs which was yummy.
I was also treated to some of my favourite flowers and bubbly.

Must say it was a much better birthday than last year as Ollie and I were ill.

The birthday treats don't stop there as on Saturday I'm having a child free day and getting my hair sorted - cant wait :)

Busy, Busy, Busy

The past few days have been pretty busy with Kelly's Craft Box with some customer orders

A hanging monkey and three little thank you owls which will be given to teachers as gifts.

I've also been trying to promote my Avon page Kelly's Beauty Box as well as getting out and about posting books and completing my very first order. I've even been asked to consider becoming a leader (scary).

Tractor Ride

It was also my husbands birthday yesterday so we had a family day out at Thurleigh farm, not really a 35 year olds ideal day out but now we have kids we have to suit them.  Ollie loved it and Joel was more interested in my camera case.

Orange chocolate heaven
I also stupidly said I would make Paul a cake. His favourite orange chocolate flavour. It took me ages to make but it couldn't have been bad as it's all gone now.

It was shared with family for birthday celebrations in the evening.

Two Year Old Celebrations

First of the celebrations for Ollie's 2nd birthday was a little family party on Sunday 14th so Nana, Grandad Bob, Uncle Luke and Great Nanny Ann could spoil him with presents and all the attention he craves.

The theme was Peppa Pig as this is the only cartoon he tends to watch and I made number two cookies which I am pretty proud of.
Handmade cookies

Tuesday 16th April was his actual birthday, he was spoilt yet again by mummy and daddy. In the morning before daddy went to work he opened one present which was a big George from Peppa Pig. He had to wait for the the rest until daddy came home which included his favourite things like colouring books and story books, but his main present was a little tikes car which to our surprise came in quite a few pieces so that's daddy's job to build.

Milkshake mouth
My friend Debbie came over in the day and we took Ollie to the park then he was treated to his first milkshake and his own mini cupcake.

In the evening grandma and grandad came with yet another present and treated us all to pizza.

Overall I think he had a pretty good birthday as he had all the attention he needs and deserves.

Happy 2nd Birthday little man :)

A Day To Forget

It was my 32nd birthday yesterday but not a very happy birthday. Ollie was ill Monday with sickness with some nasty nappies so none of us had any sleep that night and yesterday he was grizzly and wouldn't eat. I hoped and prayed I wouldn't get it but yesterday morning it happened to me.

It was quite horrendous my first few days alone due to hubby being away and illness strikes. Ollie has never really been sick so it scared him it was horrible to see as you feel so helpless this was mainly Monday but yesterday he wouldn't eat or drink until much later in the day plus he was so tired so for me to feel ill was the worst thing to happen - mums cannot get ill.

With trying to comfort Ollie, make sure Joel was fed, clear all the mess after several clothes changes in the night all while I was in and out of the toilet. The toilet then decided yo block and the washing machine wouldn't work aaaagggghhhh! By that point the tears hit me as I was exhausted. Luckily my mum came to the rescue to help me - I really needed it.

It was about midday before I actually opened any birthday presents and cards but it didn't feel right, I had some lovely presents and cards but all I wanted to do was sleep and get rid if the bug. I didn't even bother with the usual birthday cake and candles which is a first but I had no appetite.

Always next year.
