Wow Dress

Peacocks have one dress in two patterns. For just £2.99 wow may get both. Amazing value.
Which do you prefer? Floral print or Palm print.

I love both but only managed to get the palm print as the shopping basket wouldn't add the other one but could be because out of stock already.

Supermarket Sale Bargains

Asda have a sale again yay! Love Asda clothes so bagged a biker jacket from £30 to £15. Couple of tops £6 from £12. And few little kids tops at £2 each.

I got the striped blue and white top with necklace but couldn't decide on the red.
I love the look of the heart dress which has been reduced to £12 but it looks awful on me.

Loads of great offers at this sale but got to be lucky to find your size. For ages I wondered wether to by a dotty top which was £8 and I found it reduced to £4 and only two left in my size ha!

Outfit Under £20 - No.14

I picked up a bargain yesterday at Store Twenty One as they had 70% off selected items. This Red and black dress was £14.99 and I got it for £4.49 can't grumble at that.

Wasn't sure at first as I still have weight to lose, what do you think?

The Outfit:
  • Dress (Store Twenty One) - £4.49 (was £14.99)
  • Leggings (Asda) - £6
  • Black Wedges -£? ( I've had these years)

The whole outfit is for £10.49
Excluding wedges but would have been under £10.

Friday Fashion

This rainy/sunny Friday we have plenty of sales going on:

  • House of Fraser have a two day event which ends today with up to 25% of brands so better be quick
  • I've not shopped at Asos for a while but they have up to 70% off

Selects freebie Friday liked and shared for another week, I love the clutch and jacket but not too sure on dress and those shoes look super high I don't think I could walk in them.

If you are a regular at store twenty one they have up to 70% off selected lines. I'm not sure why but they no longer sell online.

I picked up a bargain....ok maybe two. This Red and black dress was £14.99 I got it for £4.49 can't grumble at that.  May add to my outfits under £20.

My second bargain was a denim style maxi dress for £5.30 it was originally £17.99. It's a bit plain so I thought I'd up cycle it and add some gems for glamour. I haven't done it yet but I will share once I have. I've been watching a programme 'SuperScrimpers' where they give a budget to spenders and they almost always up-cycle clothes which I think isn't a bad idea so long as it doesn't look tacky.

Happy Friday

Party Dress

border=It was my mum's birthday last weekend so I needed a new outfit because nothing fits me at the moment with putting on baby weight already so I had a raid in Matalan
I didn't want to wear black and luckily found a colourful stripey dress as in the picture they do not seem to have it on the website maybe because it was in the sale for £15. It was longer at the back and shorter at the front. I think next time I wear this I will get a minimiser bra as they look huge :(

Block Colour Wedge HeelI teamed the dress with these fab Block colour wedges £20 they are fairly comfortable but I  wouldn't want to walk or stand for too long in them. They work really well with the dress.

What Did I Choose To Wear

We had a wedding yesterday, I was debating over the outfit last week and I chose the black and yellow dress and added a black velvet jacket and a yellow flower in my hair to break the black up a little.

See last weeks post on this outfit as it was under £20.

My little man Ollie wore a mini suit which can you believe was more expensive than my outfit put together - madness. I would never normally spend over £30 on myself let alone mini clothes that will not last all that long but it had to be done as look how cute he is.

His out fit was from NEXT
Shirt, waistcoat and tie set was £19 and trousers £13 so a whooping £32. I can't believe I agreed to it but I did get lots of comments.

He is going to have to wear this a few times now to justify the cost.

Back to Work Wear

Second day at work done and these are the outfits I chose to wear on my first two days.

04.04.12
Day One
Dotty Dress from Dorothy Perkins and heels from Tesco Clothing which has been one of my Outfits under £20.
I added black tights as it hasn't been that warm out there this week. The bag is from Next which I mentioned in my post Next Sale Purchases.
It may have been a little over the top but never mind I needed to feel my best as it was a difficult day leaving my little man behind with daddy for the first time and all day.

I felt pretty good in this even though I had to wipe the tears away for most of the day.

Day Two:
05.04.12
Red dress from Tesco Clothing in the sale of course for £7 it was originally £22 which has been mentioned in my previous post What to wear.

I teamed this up with black tights and my birthday boots from Dorothy Perkins also in the sale for £28 which were £60.

I felt nice in this but I'm not sure the picture shows it as a very flattering dress but I think it looks better in the flesh maybe another time I will add a belt or a long funky necklace.

It's actually quite nice to dress up a little for work than wearing my usual leggings which are great by the way and a godsend while I was pregnant but dresses do make you feel more womanly.

Supermarket Clothing

Wow.........look at these dresses from Asda at £16 each, you will certainly get noticed in either of these but of course my favourite is the polka dots.

Spot Print Pleated DressBold Stripe Dress

Influence Butterfly print vest top

F&F A line lace dress
I'm loving all the colour around at the moment. Look at this A line lace dress which is new in at Tesco f&f at only £14 it's yummy.

This Butterfly vest is also £14

Sainsbury's Tu Range also have some nice bits as helped by Gok.

I hate to say it but I do buy a lot of clothes from the supermarkets as they are reasonably priced and have a nice collection of clothing. My weekly food shop always takes me longer than it should because of the clothing departments.

Outfit No 3 Under £20

Another week another outfit I would like to share with you for under £20.
I wore this yesterday as the sun was out and I wanted to feel glam.

  • Red ballerina pumps from Primark at £4 (I wore these in week 1 also).
  • Skinny Belt £2 form Tesco

The whole outfit is for £14 now that must be a record.

I would love to find out what you think out there.

Friday Wish List - Week 2

I love butterflies and polka dots as you may have noticed already from my posts so I'm adding a few more to my Wish List.

    Navy butterfly print
    Black polka dot ruffle
Navy butterfly print dress from my old favourite Dorothy Perkins, but a steep £29 so I've added to this weeks Want it Win it competition that happens every Thursday.

Unfortunately the polka dot ruffle  dress is sold out it was only £10 in the sale - gutted I didn't get there quick enough.

George at Asda has a sale on....again. You might as well just wait for the sales as they have them so often as it's horrible when you buy something full price then a week later it's half price.
    Split sleeve top
    Super skinny jeans

Imagine this with some skinny black jeans and heels or maybe pumps for day wear only £3 in sale.
I'm liking the bright colours at the moment and fancy some bright jeans, I'm not normally a yellow person but i do like these bright yellow skinny jeans £14.  I imagine these with some black wedges and a pretty girly black top or colourful striped top that has black and yellow in it. If not yellow I like the bright blues.

I have to co-ordinate colours as I hate the mish mash of patterns or colours. I'm someone who matches a hairband to a bag or shoes (Mad I know).

Boohoo have some nice dresses at the moment, here are some favourites that are in my basket that I am very tempted with as of course they are in the sale.
    Shola Halter Striped Jersey

This stripe maxi dress also comes in black and white so not sure which I prefer but what a great dress for the summer at only £10.

    Chloe Elasticated Wrap Front

Navy is another favourite colour of mine so i'm wondering about this wrap dress as it's a bagain buy at £8.

Boohoo clothes look great on the website but I often have returned items as they haven't always fitted right so I have to like something a lot to buy it.

That's it for this Friday's wish list - please do share your wish list

Come back next week for more.

    Loving Holly's Look

Holly Willoughby is wearing a black and white star patterned dress from Marks and Spencer today, she also whore it back in January according to the pic below, it's nice to know they do wear things more than once. Anyway I like it so thought I would share.

She must have the best job going, almost a new dress every day and fabulous shoes and only working mornings....nice, how do you get a job like that?

Just browsing her Very Range not keen on it all but I do like the Red Dress
It's refreshing to see a woman that isn't stick thin for a change that has hips and boobs (similar to my shape).

I prefer some of Fearne Cottons Range as it's funky and has a slightly younger style to Holly's especially these quirky dotty heels....amazing but how the hell do you wear those, I could only walk down the road and i'd get blisters (sorry yukky I know) but shoes like this look so good but aren't easy to walk in for very long, I always end up wearing flats.

I'm off to have a browse on Very

    Every Thursday

Is it sad to look forward to Thursdays because one of my favourite shops Dorothy Perkins has a Facebook competition called WANT IT WIN IT you pick something from the DP site and add a comment on the facebook page of your chosen item then they pick someone from the comment list to win what they ask for. I haven't won anything yet but i'll keep trying because I might aswell.

Here are some of my wants so far:

    Multi Butterfly Maxi Dress
    Jade Boucle Knit Dress
    Black Spot Mesh Jumper

    Black Spot Print Chiffon Dress

    Butterfly / Spot Blouse

     Buckle Square Toe Boot
    Tan Pull On Riding Boots

I purchased these two boots in the sale in the end as couldn't resist they are lovely and I bagged them in the sale I wrote a post on the tan boots.

I Rather like DP clothing but items seem a bit pricey so I tend to wait for the sales to get what I want.
